Bjørn Lomborg was interviewed on Piers Morgan Live, CNN's primetime talk show, discussing the alleged connection between climate change and extreme weather. 

He also issued a statement about the claims that global warming was to blame for the Oklahoma tornadoes:

2013-04-27 Je vcelku ľahké ukázať, že dnešné postupy sú jednoducho hlúpe. Stoja veľa a úžitok je minimálny. V diskusiách o klíme sa pohybujem už viac ako desať rokov, ale dodnes ma udivuje, ako ju vedieme. Skúsme to zmeniť. Globálne otepľovanie je skutočné a z väčšej časti spôsobené ľuďmi, ale naše riešenia zlyhávajú. Bol som jedným z najväčších kritikov Kjótskeho protokolu a to ešte v čase, keď bol považovaný za evanjelium. Dnes nemá Kjóto priaznivcov a nikto si ani nespomína, že by naň niekedy veril.

On the back of this sentiment in wealthy countries, governments have invested billions of dollars in inefficient, feel-good policies such as subsidizing solar panels and electric cars. But there are far better ways to improve environmental prospects for humanity and our planet. On Earth Day, we need more fracking, more wealth, smarter investments and fewer inefficient subsidies.
