2013-03-22 Wieczorem 23 marca 1,3 miliarda ludzi będzie bez światła o 20:30, o 21:30 i o 22:30, jak też przez resztę nocy — jak w każdy inny wieczór o każdej porze roku. Bez dostępu do elektryczności ciemność po zachodzie słońca jest dla tych ludzi codzienną rzeczywistością. 

2013-03-27 Samochody elektryczne są promowane jako najmodniejszy zwiastun środowiskowo dobroczynnej przyszłości. Reklamy zapewniają nas o „zerowej emisji" i prezydent Obama obiecał milion tych samochodów na drogach do roku 2015. Przy sprzedaży w 2012 r. dochodzącą do 50 tysięcy ta liczba miliona samochodów jest mrzonką. Konsumenci nie ufają im z powodu ograniczonego zasięgu, wyższych cen i logistyce ładowania baterii. Ci jednak, którzy mają samochody elektryczne, przynajmniej mogą pocieszać się, że jest on naprawdę zielony, prawda? Nie zupełnie. (...)

Bez přístupu k elektřině je pro ně tma po setmění neměnnou realitou. Téhož večera se jiná miliarda lidí zúčastní ekologické akce "Hodina Země" a od půl deváté do půl desáté zhasnou světla. (...)
