Coffee on the brink of extinction due to climate change? Olive oil in permanent crisis? Not according to the data.

Global production of coffee and olive oil is at or near record highs, while inflation‑adjusted prices have trended downward for decades.

Climate scare stories mislead by ignoring inflation, cherry‑picking weather events, and overlooking enormous gains in agricultural productivity. Rather than panic, we should double down on what has actually fed the world: innovation, crop breeding, and the Green Revolution’s legacy.
